Literally, Admiral Cleaners could not have stayed up and running without the dedicated service of Earl Chaney. Beginning his career with Admiral in October 1974, for over 42 years, Earl has devoted his mechanical skills and expertise to maintaining and repairing the dry cleaning machines, washing machines, presses and boilers – all of which perform the essential services for hundreds of thousands of Admiral’s lucky customers. This dedication includes fond memories of one special night in 1984 when he pulled an all-nighter to install new dry cleaning machines at the old Taylor Avenue (Annapolis) location.
In recent years, Earl has added delivery of dry cleaning to his responsibilities and currently running a portion of the Easton/Denton area route. This fuels his proclaimed preference to “stay on the move”, with a continuous full slate of deliveries and maintenance visits to various cleaning facilities.
Not one to work alone, over the years Earl has made Admiral a Chaney family affair, with his wife and both of daughters working with the company at various times in the past. In his free time, he now enjoys restoring vintage automobiles, with his latest being 1947 Chevy.
